"We adopted our three-year-old tortoiseshell cat, Sparkle, from a rescue centre. She was originally from Dubai and, about a year after adopting, she began to have cycles of loud meowing and urinating around the house. She was also clearly very distressed. We started receiving complaints from neighbours due to the noise and eventually felt we had no choice but to keep her indoors.
